Project: Gants Hill Library

Gants Hill Library was built in 1938 in a late Art Deco style, typified by the beautiful architectural glass roof lights.   Bolt & Heeks were engaged to both restore the library and bring the facilities up-to-date with a children’s area, study area and the installation of eight public internet access computers.

The works included replacement of the existing flat roof, repairs/cleaning of roof lights, electrical and mechanical installations, restoration of original parquet flooring, minor structural alterations and redecoration throughout.
